I’ve always felt some type of way about wearing kimonos as part of an outfit. I guess it always makes me feel like I’m wearing a house robe outside lol. When I saw this long striped Kimono with pockets during a random online window shopping night though, I knew I had to have it.
Today’s weather was very fall-like so I thought it’d be the perfect day to bring you a quick post on three ways to style a long kimono.
1// Long Kimono with a pair of jeans and pumps
This was the style I had in mind when I bought the kimono and probably my favorite way to wear it. I threw on a pair of distressed jeans and some pumps and went about my way. It was perfect because I didn’t have to worry about the wind exposing my insides since I had jeans on. Ha!
2// Long Kimono worn as a dress with knee-high boots
My second favorite way is to throw it on as a dress for a nice, streamlined look. You could go for thigh high boots or pumps if you want to show some extra leg.
3// Long Kimono worn as a skirt with a sweater and boots
This look is perfect for when the weather starts getting a bit more chilly. Throw on a sweater to keep you nice and toasty. The sweater also helps keep the kimono in place for when the wind comes for you. Hats always add an extra touch to any outfit so I also threw one on for this look.
That’s it folks. Have a great day and stay warm. Thanks so much as always for reading.
